ED-124X 4MP Dome IP Camera with Variable Lens
The ED-124X is a high-resolution, dome-style IP camera featuring a 4MP sensor and a variable (varifocal) lens, designed to deliver adjustable and reliable surveillance for both indoor and outdoor environments. Manufactured by LILIN or distributed under this product code by various vendors, it combines flexibility, durability, and high-quality imaging in a compact dome form.
Image Quality and Resolution
This camera provides 4 Megapixel (4MP) resolution, supporting a maximum of 2592 × 1520 at 25 fps, with the default stream often set at 2048 × 1520 at 25/30 fps. Equipped with a 1/3 inch OV4689 sensor, it delivers clear and detailed video even in low-light conditions, with a minimum illumination of 0.6 Lux in color mode.
Variable Lens for Flexible Coverage
The camera features a varifocal lens ranging from 2.8 mm to 12 mm, allowing manual adjustment of optical zoom and focus during installation. This makes it suitable for wide-angle monitoring at 2.8 mm or zoomed-in detail at 12 mm, providing customized coverage based on the area being monitored.
Night Vision and Durability
Equipped with 15 IR LED lights, the camera offers clear night vision up to 30 meters. Its IP66 weatherproof rating ensures protection against dust and strong water jets, making it suitable for outdoor installations. The metal dome design also provides vandal resistance, enhancing its durability in exposed or high-risk areas.
Video Processing and Network Features
The ED-124X supports H.264 (Baseline, Main, High Profiles) and MJPEG compression, optimizing bandwidth usage. It offers dual-stream video output for simultaneous high-resolution recording and lower-resolution mobile viewing. Networking is handled via a standard RJ45 Ethernet port (10/100 Mbps), with PoE (Power over Ethernet) or 12V DC power options, consuming a maximum of 3.6W. It is also ONVIF 2.4 compatible, ensuring easy integration with third-party NVRs and video management systems.
